Get ready for the Stanley Super 800 Country Music extravaganza at the Spiegeltent, Emmet Place on Fri 20th of June.

It will be a country versions of ss800 material with some covers of our favourite country/folk songs i.e. some Doc Watson, Woody Gutherie, J.Cash, Glen Cambell and a couple from the Byrds "Sweetheart of the rodeo" album.

The band will expand with dave moving to lead guitar and lap steel, Tosh will play banjo, Flor on bass & vocals9he's back), Tosh's sister Lisa will play fiddle, Eoin Jordan on mandolin, vocals and bazouki, I'll play autoharp, fiddle and guitar, Anthony Noonan on drums. We'll also be joined by some surprised :) guests.. for more classics and fun. Should be great. It'll be fairly upbeat mostly but we intend on doing a few slow sets too - just to put some romance in the night..

We'll be dressed like Cowboys & Hillbillys, so we're hoping anyone attending would do the same. There'll be prize for the best dressed. There'll be hay bails to sit on and there'll be some free hooch (when we figure out how to make it - probably moonshine and something else.. )
